La Canada Gladiator Youth Football and Cheer (a division of San Gabriel Valley Junior All American Football)

The mission of the San Gabriel Valley Junior All-American Football Conference is to prepare student athletes to practice ethical behavior including fair play, integrity and adherence to rules. All individuals associated with athletic activities will be aware of and responsible for their influence on the behavior of others and be models of good sportsmanship. Academics are stressed as part of this program with all participants required to maintain a 2.0 GPA.

Flag Football ages 6-8, weight up to 75 pounds

Tackle Football: Ages 8-14

Cheerleading: Ages 6-14

ELIGIBILITY AREA: Residents of Pasadena and Altadena that reside West of Lincoln Avenue and/or the 210 Freeway and North of the 134 Freeway; La Canada, San Marino, South Pasadena, Crescenta Valley school district, Montrose, Eagle Rock, Sunland, Tujunga, Lake View Terrace and Burbank.

Registration dates: March-July, 2007 (exact dates TBD and also available via website beginning in March 2007)

Cost (Football fees include practice uniform, equipment/pads and socks; game uniforms are loaned for the season)

$325 Tackle Football

$150 Flag Football

approx. $375 Cheer (includes practice and game uniforms and cheer camp)

or Lisa Singelyn, City Athletic Director Practice begins the first week of August, with the season running from September through the beginning of December. All practices and home games are played at La Canada High School.
