Warren High on Tuesday continued to show that its preseason No. 4 ranking in the CIF Southern Section Division VII poll is warranted as the Bears defeated visiting Rancho Alamitos, 17-4, in a nonleague girls water polo match.
Amber Smith scored seven goals to lead Warren (10-1), Brittany Vasquez had three and Leslie Poole and Dana Kendall scored two apiece.
Wilson 12, Santa Margarita 5: Jamie Williams scored four times and freshman Alex Loveless had three goals to lead the Bruins (2-7) in nonleague play.
Goalie Kelly Ringel made 14 saves for Wilson.
Millikan 18, Tustin 5: Fresh off its 20-6 drubbing at the hands of Los Alamitos a night earlier, the Rams came back and blasted Tustin.
"As penance for last night's debacle versus Los Alamitos, all seven starters played the entire game with no substitutes," Millikan coach Al Reyes said.
Kalani Durham led the Rams (11-4) with six goals and Melissa Matheson scored four times.
Devin Golston scored 31 points and Gipson Lyles had 19 to lead Gahr (9-9) to an 80-69 victory over Valley Christian in a nonleague game.
