Cerritos women's season over

The Cerritos College women's volleyball team ended it season Tuesday night in a 25-13, 25-16, 25-21 loss to host Cypress in the first round of the Southern California Regional Playoffs.

The Falcons, seeded No. 11, finished with a 14-8 record after a third-place finish in the South Coast Conference.

Sophomore Sarah Naranjo led Cerritos with 15 digs and 12 kills.

Sophomore Yawen Zhan had six kills and five blocks and freshman Chanelle Puou added seven kills.

Women's basketball

Rayven Sellers scored 15 points and grabbed 18 rebounds to lead Long Beach City College over West L.A., 63-61, in a nonconference game Wednesday.

Amanda Dickerson chipped in with 16 points and Maria Loera had 15 for the Vikings, who improved to 2-4.
